Hi, I’m Neel, a PhD student at Imperial College London using AI, spatial audio and other tools to acoustically monitor ecosystem health and resilience.

I’ve always believed in the power of design and engineering to creatively apply technology across disciplines towards a more just, sustainable and prosperous world. And I’ve always had a passion for sound, first through music, and now also through soundscapes and acoustics at large.

In 2020, I graduated as part of the second cohort of the then new MEng in Design Engineering at Imperial College London. That degree was highly interdisciplinary and project-oriented, fusing engineering rigour with design and innovation.

This website now is an archive of projects I undertook during the Design Engineering MEng from 2017 to early 2020. They serve as the foundation for the work I’ve done since on ecosystem monitoring and more.

Work from my MEng Master’s project, a tangible interface for controlling timbre, can be viewed externally on the Design Engineering 2020 online show website.

You can see my research bio + publications on my Imperial College profile page and a general summary of all my experience on LinkedIn

Thanks for stopping by the legacy site ❀⋆.ೃ࿔:·
